If you are using Version 7 or higher, you must and install ESD Editor on your client machines in order for it to work in TraCS.  &nbsp; The desktop version will not work.  
If you are using Version 7 or higher, you must install ESD Editor (V7.X and V8.0) or Diagram Editor (V8.1 and higher) on your client machines in order for it to work in TraCS.  &nbsp; The ESD desktop version will not work.  


You also must change the ESD.ini file setting to ESD=7

====Known Issue - ESD Diagram Disappears====
 
Crash diagrams created with ESD may be viewed on any machine. &nbsp; However, if someone who does not have ESD installed opens the crash, presses Edit, and then launches the ESD diagram, it will disappear from the crash. 
 
The diagram may be restored by following these steps:
 
1. <u>On a machine with ESD installed</u>, the officer should open the crash and press Edit.
 
2. Go to the Diagram section and open ESD. &nbsp; You may or may not see the diagram. 
 
3. Regardless of whether or not you see the diagram, <u>press Launch to launch ESD</u>.
 
4. Close ESD. &nbsp; You should now see the diagrm on the crash. &nbsp; Close the diagram.
 
5. Confirm that the diagram is now showing on the crash. &nbsp; Validate and accept the crash as usual.

''NOTE:'' If the crash is in an Update in Submitted status, a TraCS Team member (hosted) or the agency administrator (non-hosted) must remove the Submitted status and put the crash back in Open status before Steps 1-5 may be completed.
