Easy Street Draw (ESD): Difference between revisions

Easy Street Draw (ESD) is compatible with TraCS. The vendor for ESD is Trancite.

ESD Downloads

ESD Version 6

ESD version 6 is no longer supported and is not available for download. If you would like to upgrade to Version 8, contact Rich Petri at Trancite.

ESD Version 7 and Higher

If you are using Version 7 or higher, you must install ESD Editor (V7.X and V8.0) or Diagram Editor (V8.1 and higher) on your client machines in order for it to work in TraCS. The ESD desktop version will not work.

You also must update the ESD.ini file setting to ESD=7

The file is here - C:\ProgramData\TraCS\Settings\DLL Settings

Once the setting is updated, you must log out of TraCS and back in for the change to take effect.

If you are deploying this version agency wide, we can push this setting out to the agency via updates. Contact TraCS Support to request this.

ESD Licensing & Upgrades

Contact Rich Petri regarding any of the following matters:

You are getting an Evaluation Edition watermark on crash diagrams.

You are getting a message that all licenses are in use.

You are getting a message that a license is expired.

You would like to upgrade to Version 8.

You need assistance with sharing templates that have been created by the agency.

Known Issue - ESD Diagram Disappears

Crash diagrams created with ESD may be viewed on any machine. However, if someone who does not have ESD installed opens the crash, presses Edit, and then launches the ESD diagram, it will disappear from the crash.

The diagram may be restored by following these steps:

1. On a machine with ESD installed, the officer should open the crash and press Edit.

2. Go to the Diagram section and open ESD. You may or may not see the diagram.

3. Regardless of whether or not you see the diagram, press Launch to launch ESD.

4. Close ESD. You should now see the diagrm on the crash. Close the diagram.

5. Confirm that the diagram is now showing on the crash. Validate and accept the crash as usual.

NOTE: If the crash is in an Update in Submitted status, a TraCS Team member (hosted) or the agency administrator (non-hosted) must remove the Submitted status and put the crash back in Open status before Steps 1-5 may be completed.

Highlight the form and go to the eSubmit tab.
Press Unlock Submitted Forms. Answer Yes to the warning that comes up.
Open the form and press Edit. Answer Yes to the warning that the form will change to open status.
Close the form.
