Per Section 5.5.3 of the FBI CJIS Security Policy, a user's account will automatically lock after 5 consecutive unsuccessful log in attempts. The account will remain locked for 10 minutes unless released by an administrator. A link to the FBI CJIS Security Policy is here.
If you are locked out of TraCS, your options are:
1. Wait 10 minutes and try again with your current password.
2. Use the Forgot Password link to get a temporary password sent to you via email. You still have to wait 10 minutes before attempting to log in again.
3. Contact your agency administrator and request that your account be unlocked.
4. Contact TraCS Support to request that your account be unlocked.
