How To Dismiss a Citation
As of TraCS Version 15.0.12, Uniform Traffic Citations (UTC) may be marked as Dismissed if an agency receives notification from the Clerk of Courts (COC) that they have dismissed a citation or have filed a nolle prosequi.
Agency Administrators and TraCS Team members have access to the Dismissed button.
Citations may be marked as Dismissed no matter what the status.
Once you receive notification from the COC, highlight the citation you wish to dismiss and press the Dismissed button on the Home tab.
A warning will come up asking if you are sure you want to flag the form as dismissed. Pressing Yes will change the status to Dismissed.
Be very careful when using this button. If you pressed Yes by mistake, you may press the Dismissed button again and the citation will change to Open status. However, keep in mind that the previous status may have been something other than Open. You will need to research to find out what the status should be and change it accordingly.
