UTC Vulnerable Road Users

As of July 1st, 2024, there are enhanced penalties for Fatal or Serious Bodily Injury (SBI) crashes involving a Vulnerable Road User (VRU).   For details the penalties, see FSS 318.14(5).   The defininition of a Vulnerable Road User is in FSS 316.027(b)

There is no box to check to indicate this and TraCS cannot add one.

Per HSMV, officers must include VRU in the comments section of the UTC if a violation occurred against a Vulnerable Road User.
