Getting Set Up To Use the Parking/Ordinance Form
Overview
The Parking/Ordinance form may be used to write citations for the following:
- City/county ordinances
- City/county parking violations
- Civil violations such as Tobacco/Vaping, Sexting, and Carry Concealed Weapon Without Identification.
The form may be used as a citation or warning.
The form works the same way as the other TraCS forms as far as filling it out, validating, accepting, etc.
You may attach a JPG or other image file to the citation or warning.
There is a Paid button that may be used by TraCS users at the agency to mark the date paid and amount paid.
There are two print options. One has the complete owner and vehicle information and the other has only the vehicle information.
Parking/Ordinance forms do not transmit electronically via XML (data) file except in Miami-Dade County (all agencies) and Orange County (OCSO only). All other agencies must print them out and deliver them to wherever payments are handled. If your clerk or city will accept PDF copies via email, we can set that up.
Getting Started
We need the following information from the agency in order to get you started:
- A list of violations along with the fine if it is paid on time and the fine if it is paid late. We need at least one violation in order for the form to work. Contact TraCS and we will give you a spreadsheet to fill out.
- The number of days the violator has to pay the fine.
- The full name and address of the payment location. Phone number and website are optional.
- Instructions for the violator.
- A block of citation numbers and a block of warning numbers. TraCS will add these for you.
If you are in Miami-Dade County, the getting started steps for you are different. Contact TraCS for further information.
