Appendix C - Additions and Updates

Appendix C is a list of all statutes that may be used on the Florida Uniform Traffic Citation (UTC).

If a statute is not in Appendix C, we cannot add it to TraCS for use on the UTC.

FLHSMV updates Appendix C once or twice per year, usually in July and/or October.   When TraCS is notified that an updated version of Appendix C is available, we make the appropriate changes in our database and include those changes in our next scheduled release.

If you believe a statute is missing from or incorrect in Appendix C, you may email them at courtassist@flhsmv.gov.

TraCS has already contacted them regarding the statutes listed below.   Per FLHSMV, they will not be added to Appendix C.   Per HSMV, any statute that is written on a UTC that is not in Appendix C will not be included on a driver's record.

324.022 - Failure to have Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance

320.26(1)(a) - Manufacture Possess Sale Dispose of Counterfeit Tags, Stickers, Registration

This is a criminal charge and not a traffic violation.

316.1923 - Aggressive Careless Driving

This is an administrative statute. Officers should use the Careless Driving statute and check the Aggressive box.
