Crash - Vehicle vs Train

Per FSS 316.003 (69), a railroad train is not a motor vehicle.

If an incident involves a vehicle vs. train, complete a crash report and put the information about the train in the narrative.   Train passengers may be listed as Non-Motorist / Occupant of a Non-Motor Vehicle.

If an incident involves a pedestrian vs. train, do not complete a crash report unless a motor vehicle is also involved.   See the Crash FAQ page if needed.
